Peer Navigator Program

Are you 17-26 years old, living on Long Island or in Queens, and LGBTQ-identified? Do you want to work for a dynamic non-profit, providing vital education and awareness around the needs of the LGBTQ community? Do you have a particular interest in helping to protect the sexual health of the community? This might be the job for you!

Pride for Youth’s Peer Navigator Program offers a limited number part-time positions to individuals who fit the above description. Primary roles include outreach via social media, clubs, and community events in order to welcome and connect individuals to appropriate services at the agency, as well as providing sexual health education on-site and in schools on the topics of HIV, STIs, PEP/PrEP, transgender healthcare, and combatting homophobia and transphobia. Peer Navigators who are hired receive extensive training on these subjects prior to conducting workshops.

Applications are accepted year-round for the position of Peer Navigator.
