LICC is here for you because sometimes, as a young Latina, you just don’t feel that you fit in with everyone else at school…or you have too many demands on you at home…or your mom or dad (or grandmother or grandfather) just doesn’t understand “American” ways…or, maybe, school is just too hard! And, there are so many expectations about who you are supposed to be and what you’re supposed to do. And, sometimes you feel isolated because there is no one you can share your feelings with in confidence.
Before it becomes too overwhelming and before you think there isn’t a solution, reach out to Long Island Crisis Center. Talk to someone who will understand what you feel and support you as you become the empowered young Latina you can be.

Estamos aquí para ti porque entendemos que como Latina joven, es difícil encontrar su puesto en la sociedad o quizá en escuela, o tengas muchas deberes en la casa, o tu madre, padre, abuela, abuelo no entienden las maneras de los “Americanos”. Hay muchos expectativos sobres quien debes ser y que debes estar haciendo. Quizá te sientes sola porque no encuentras confianza con nadie para compartir lo que sientes.
Antes de que te ahogas con tus problemas y te sientes que no hay solución, extiende te a Long Island Crisis Center (Centro de Crisis de Long Island). Hablas con alguien que entiendan lo que sientas y que te apoyaran mientras te conviertes en la latina valiente y fuerte que debes ser.
